Extract Images from PDF

Save the photos in a PDF without taking screenshots. Folidesk finds every embedded image and gives it to you as a separate file. If you do not select pages, all pages are scanned.

Your files stay on your device. Processing happens entirely in your browser.

  1. Drop or choose your PDF.
  2. Optionally select pages and choose JPG or PNG.
  3. Click "Extract images"; download them one by one or as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Does it save whole pages as images?

No, only the photos and pictures placed on the pages. To turn whole pages into images, use {tool:pdfToJpg}.

Are images at original resolution?

Yes, they are saved at the pixel size stored in the PDF. Icons under 32 px and repeated copies of the same image are skipped.

It says no images were found. Why?

Some PDFs use vector drawings instead of images, or a page is one scanned image. In that case convert the pages with {tool:pdfToJpg}.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser.
